Man facing gun charges after hunting without permission

WETHERSFIELD, N.Y. (WIVB) A Buffalo man has been charged with trespassing and criminal possession of a weapon after allegedly being caught hunting without permission of the land owner.

New York State Police arrested 55 year old Richard E. Weber, earlier this month, on land off of DeVinney Rd. in the Town of Wethersfield.

Weber was charged with criminal possession of a weapon the 4th degree after troopers determined he had a prior felony conviction which prevents Weber from legally possessing a gun.

Weber was processed for the charges at the Warsaw State Police Barracks and was later released on an appearance ticket. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
