Passerby spots smoke in back of house


TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A passerby saw smoke in the back of a home on Woodcrest Boulevard, at Belmont Avenue, overnight and called 911. Firefighters from the Elwood Fire District responded to the fire call at 12:30 a.m.

Firefighters say there was a small fire outside of the home, with a planter and part of the home on fire. Firefighters are investigating the cause of the flames.
