Jim Kelly leaves hospital to cheering crowd

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – It was a landmark day for Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer Jim Kelly, who’s been undergoing treatment for a recurrence of cancer.

On Wednesday, Kelly walked out of the hospital to a cheering crowd. His wife Jill says he has received his final round of radiation treatment.

“I know I could not have done this without family and friends. You guys have been there since day one. Thank you guys,” he said. “I’ve still got a long way to go, but I know with you people on my team, I’ll be here for many, many more years and many, many more parties.”

Kelly finished chemotherapy last Tuesday.
