Driver allegedly had small amount of crack cocaine

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A driver who was stopped because of a brake light was carrying crack cocaine, according to New York State Police.

Troopers stopped a vehicle on Clinton Street in Buffalo when they arrested 22-year-old Shaheed Battles of Buffalo. Police say they were arresting Battles for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation when they found a small amount of crack cocaine. He was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was processed at the Holding Center pending his arraignment.
