Jeopardy contestant will try for 19th win Thursday

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Jeopardy contestant has been the reigning champion for 18 days. She will try for win number 19 Thursday night.

Julia Collins, the supply chain professional from California, has won more money and games than any other woman in the game show’s history. She’s already taken home more than $390,000.

If she wins Thursday night, she’ll tie the record for second-most victories in regular competition.

Collins gave some insight into her strategy, “I think before you go on the show, you should try, just focus on what you do know.”

Ken Jennings holds the record for most Jeopardy wins; he won 74 in a row.
