World’s largest flower blooms in the Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, ONT. (WIVB) – One of the world’s largest flowers is in full bloom at the Floral Showhouse in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

The Titan Arum stands a staggering 92 inches tall and is extremely rare. This one is nicknamed “Morph.”

The plant’s first bloom was in 2012 and so it has been two years since it was last in bloom. At that time it was the first Titan Arum to bloom in Canada.

Don’t expect a fragrant blossom if you get near – it gives off a scent more like rotten garbage.

The bloom is very short-lived but if want to get a glimpse you can catch it on the Floral Showhouse webcam.
