Runners take part in Pride Week 5K race

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo and WNY Pride Week events are happening all week and Thursday evening was the annual Gay 5K Run.

Participants dressed in a variety of outfits and took to the course, which ran through downtown Buffalo and the waterfront.

Events continue through the weekend. An art exhibit on Friday will take place at the Glow Gallery on Allen Street.

The annual Allen Street Festival and Pride Parade will take place on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The street festival is from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Step-off for the parade is at 1 p.m. from Elmwood & Forest Avenues.
