Cyclists bike for first ever SkyRide

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Cyclists had the chance on Saturday to enjoy a breathtaking view during their morning ride.

GO Bike Buffalo hosted the first ever “SkyRide”. The ride included a tour around downtown, and a scenic ride across Buffalo’s Skyway.

Riders took advantage of new bike lanes created around the city. The SkyRide is just one sign of Buffalo’s growing bike culture.

GO Bike Buffalo Executive Director Justin Booth said,”Having fun events like the SkyRide, it’s a way to start changing our culture to get more people healthy as part of their active daily routine, and get more people out there cycling on a regular basis and continue building that culture.”

The entire ride was 29 miles long. Cyclists capped off the day with a celebration at Canalside.
