Hiker, 25, killed after falling 150 feet down ravine

SHELDON, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man who was hiking in Wyoming County Saturday fell and died.

The Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police were called to Falls Road in the Town of Sheldon around 5:45 p.m.

Police say Stephen Wagner, 25, of Sheldon, was hiking with a friend when he lost his footing and fell about 150 feet down a ravine.

Police say Wagner landed in water and died. Troopers say the investigation is still ongoing.
