WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A West Seneca man now awaits his punishment, for murdering his mother during an argument.
Primitivo Cruz was convicted Friday for being and stabbing his 77-year-old mother, Carol Quinn, at their home on Burch Avenue. He will be sentenced in July.
Quinn’s body was found May 4, 2013 in her Burch Avenue apartment in West Seneca. The medical examiner ruled she died of strangulation and blunt force trauma.
According to a police report, Quinn and Cruz had argued over the laundry about a week earlier. Quinn said her son grabbed her and threw her against a wall.
A jury convicted Cruz of second degree murder. This is the second trial for Cruz, whose first one ended when a lone juror reportedly refused to deliberate.
