BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo Bills are working to make Western New Yorkers healthier.

The team is partnering with Independent Health for the next five years with the goal of developing programs to improve health issues, like childhood obesity.

Independent Health President and CEO Dr. Michael Cropp said, “I can’t tell you the level of enthusiasm that exists back home at Independent Health for being able to team up with this organization that means so much to our community.”

About 100 students in third through sixth grade from Buffalo’s School 18 participated in fitness and football drills as part of Tuesday’s announcement.
