Man learns sentence for promoting sexual performance by child

CATTARAUGUS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man is headed to prison after being convicted of promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17 years of age.

Chautauqua County District Attorney David Foley announced Tuesday that 31-year-old Christopher Travis of Cattaraugus was sentenced to two-and-one-third to seven years in state prison.

A prepared statement from David Foley’s Office says, in part, “The plea and sentence send a clear message that we are committed to prosecuting child sexual cases to the fullest extent of the law.”
