Students help make playground a reality

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – Students at Cloverbank Elementary, in the Frontier School District, officially cut the ribbon on their new playground last Friday.

Students worked along with the Playground Committee and raised more than $80,000 in just one year.  Fundraisers included walkathons, lemonade stands and craft shows.  Teachers even dyed their hair for the classes that raised the most money.

The kids showed just how excited they were for the new addition at the grand opening– they gathered outside and sang the the hit Pharell song, “Happy.”
