Students to drive model Mars rover in competition

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Some University at Buffalo students will drive a model Mars rover Tuesday, using an Xbox controller.

This is part of a NASA sponsored competition at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. Teams can sent representatives to the Lone Star State, however, the rover must be controlled remotely at the team’s university.

The UB Space Bulls model must complete a variety of tasks on a simulated Mars terrain.
