BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Tops Markets is considering opening a new supermarket in downtown Buffalo.

Business First reports that the supermarket chain is impressed with improving demographics and recent development in the Buffalo main core business district.

The store may be at the top of their development considerations but it might not be happening in the immediate future.

Tops is not saying where the new market might be built. They already operate a market on Niagara Street, near to the downtown business district.

The market would be part of a $50 million investment Tops is making on store renovations and upgrades.
