Driver allegedly had .25 percent BAC

ELMA, N.Y. (WIVB) – An East Aurora woman is accused of driving with more than three times the legal blood alcohol content Wednesday night.

New York State Police stopped her grey SUV on Bowen Road, in the Town of Elma, for driving without headlights. Police say 25-year-old Danielle N. Szymczak failed roadside sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. She submitted a breath sample for testing which revealed an alleged .25 percent BAC.

Police ay she had a prior alcohol conviction within the last 10 years, which makes the DWI charge and the aggravated DWI charge a felony. She will appear in Town of Elma Court at a later date. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
