Man charged with late night shooting in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 24-year-old man has been taken into custody and charged in connection with a shooting that took place late Wednesday night in Niagara Falls.

Just before midnight, police say Javon Ellison shot 23-year-old Jermaine Lowe in the abdomen at 11th and Ontario Avenue. Lowe was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center by his girlfriend and was then rushed to ECMC by ambulance. He’s currently in stable condition.

Thursday night around 7:30 p.m., Niagara Falls Police detectives along with Niagara County Probation took Ellison into custody at an apartment on Falls Street.
