Officials net dozens of arrests over holiday weekend

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Officials in Niagara County made dozens of arrests over Memorial Day Weekend.

The sheriff’s office says between May 22nd and May 27th, they increased patrol units that were designated for DWI enforcement. Deputies made 28 DWI arrests, 26 additional arrests and issued about 465 traffic tickets.

The sheriff’s office says they have already scheduled crackdown periods for later on in 2014.
