Students allegedly use pepper spray in classroom

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) – Lockport Police say two students were arrested and charged after an incident involving pepper spray.

A Lockport High School resource officer was called into a room Wednesday afternoon when something was sprayed into the air causing him and students to cough. Police recovered the pepper spray.

Police say two 16-year-old males were responsible. The students are charged with unlawful possession of a noxious material, a misdemeanor.

Both were suspended by the school for five days.
