Man who admitted downloading child porn is sentenced

AKRON, N.Y. (WIVB) – An Akron man who admitted downloading child pornography onto his home computer will spend the next five years in prison.

Michael Taschetta was arrested in November 2012 on charges of possession of child porn. He pleaded guilty to the charges in February.

Authorities say the 55-year-old downloaded images that included depictions children under the age of 12 engaged in sexual conduct.

Taschetta was sentenced Friday to five years in prison and five years of supervised release.
