Program will support patients from diagnosis to remission

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A new program at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital will offer support to cancer patients and survivors.

Survivor Steps will begin with breast cancer patients and then expand. The unique program will help people throughout their cancer, from diagnosis to remission. Specialty caregivers will work each patient to improve their quality of life.

The hospital received their STAR Program certification, which trains clinicians and focuses on improving patient care outcomes.
