Woman accused of dragging person with vehicle

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo woman is accused of dragging another person with a minivan. Police say Renee Brown, 39, drove off and dragged a woman after an argument.

Police say Brown’s passengers demanded to be allowed to leave the vehicle, fearing for their safety, around 3 p.m. on Comstock Ave. near Kensington Ave.

An argument started when the victim tried to get out of the minivan, according to police. Brown did not stop the vehicle and dragged the woman with the minivan.

The minivan then hit another vehicle and a pole and finally stopped. Brown was arrested and charged with DWI, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license.

The victim was brought to ECMC and treated for minor injuries.
