BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – The craze called “mystery money,” a sort of Twitter scavenger hunt, has made its way to the Queen City.

News 4 has learned the people behind “Mystery Money Buffalo” are the owners and staff of Colvin Cleaners.

President Paul Billoni said it’s a way to celebrate being named best dry cleaner in Buffalo by Artvoice. Saturday, they hid $150 and two Bills tickets, and someone tracked it down.

Billoni said employee Megan Rechin came up with the idea.

“This idea came from one of our employees, one hundred percent and developed,” said Billoni. “It didn’t come from upper management down or anything. It came from rank and file. And it was absolutely great, I’m really thrilled with the results.”

The giveaways will continue. You can follow for yourself on Twitter. The handle is @MysteryMoneyBuf.

The next clue comes out on Tuesday.
