Man sentenced for robbing three Buffalo banks

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 21-year-old man will spend the next seven years and eight months behind bars for robbing three Buffalo banks.

Donovan Devost was convicted of robbing the First Niagara Bank on Elmwood Avenue in April 31, 2013, the First Niagara Bank on Main Street in June 19, 2013, and two days later, the KeyBank on Delaware Avenue. In all instances, Devost passed a note to the teller demanding money and indicating he had a gun.

Devost was sentenced Monday to seven years and eight months in prison.
