Neighbors can comment on plans for Gates Circle site

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The developer for the former Millard Fillmore Gates Circle hospital site will be holding a community forum on Monday to give the public an opportunity to express their opinions over plans for the site.

The property was sold last year for $63 million. Former owner of the hospital Kaleida Health picked TM Montante Development to redesign the property. The developer’s plans call for a $28 million campus for Canterbury Woods retirement living community, residential housing, retail and a community health and wellness center.

Neighbors can hear from the development team, check out site plans and make comments to Montante officials at a forum Monday. It begins at 6 p.m. at the Burchfield Penney Art Center on Elmwood Avenue.

In the coming weeks, Montante will open a construction office near Gates Circle and will eventually move the company’s headquarters there.
