BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a passenger Sunday, on Buffalo’s east side.

New York State Police say they stopped a vehicle on Paderewski Street over a seat belt, and ended up charging 45-year-old Rhona Brown of Buffalo with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Police say they discovered Brown had two active warrants for drug charges. While she was being searched, police found a small rock of crack cocaine and marijuana.

Brown was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment Monday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
