Bills absorbing playbook during OTA’s

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – Part of the focus during Organized Team Activities, is simply installing the Bills playbook.

For newcomers like wide receiver Mike Williams, it’s been a lot to absorb.

“We come out and have 20-something plays in one practice, then come out the next practice and have 20 different plays. They’re trying to get it all in, so we can master it by camp,” said Williams.

The offense hasn’t always been crisp during OTA’s, something quarterback EJ Manuel says they need to fix – even in offseason workouts.

“Yeah, we’re putting in a lot of offense, we’re putting in a lot of plays, but I have a sense of urgency just like the rest of us do. So when things aren’t going well, or how we want them to in practices, it is frustrating. Same thing, you have another practice tomorrow to correct it,” said Manuel. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
