Child injured in alleged drunk driving crash

CARROLLTON, N.Y. (WIVB) – An 8-year-old was injured in an alleged drunk driving crash on Interstate 86, in the Town of Carrollton. The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old Bradley Fluent was driving drunk.

Officials said Fluent’s vehicle traveled on I-86, between Exits 21 and 23, which was closed for road construction. Fluent struck a concrete barrier, Saturday around 4:30 p.m.

The child was taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center, and the Fluent was not hurt.

Fluent was arrested for DWI, aggravated DWI, DWI with a child, disobey a traffic control device, endangering the welfare of a child. A check of his license showed he failed to pay child support, so he was also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
