District donates $10K to Wounded Warriors Project


CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Those who have served and sacrificed for their community are getting a boost from Cheektowaga Schools.

The district presented the National Wounded Warriors Project and the Iraq-Afghanistan Memorial Fund with a check for more than $10,000 Tuesday night. The money was raised last month during the annual Walk for Warriors Walkathon.

The Wounded Warriors Project provides programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and transition to civilian life. You can learn more about their program and how you can get involved on their website.
