Two facing charges over gun brought to dance recital

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two people were arrested Sunday afternoon for allegedly bringing a loaded handgun to a dance recital at Kleinhan’s Music Hall.

Police say 69-year-old Dwight Seufert of Lyons, NY brought the weapon to the event and at one point hid the gun inside a nylon bag belonging to 43-year-old Karen Stefaniak of Buffalo.

Both were arrested. Police did not say what brought them to Kleinhan’s.

Seufert is charged with reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child, tampering with evidence and other charges. Stefaniak is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.
