Man accused of shooting victim in the leg

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) – Lockport Police have made an arrest in an early morning shooting on Tuesday.

Officers say Anthony Ervin III of Buffalo shot 44-year-old Christopher Williams in the leg around 1:30 a.m. on Spalding Street. WIlliams was taken to ECMC where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released.

The 29-year-old suspect is charged with first degree assault and second degree criminal possession of a weapon.

After being arraigned in Lockport City Court, Ervin was taken to the Niagara County Jail. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
