Heavy rains prompt travel advisory in Cattaraugus County

CONEWANGO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has issued a travel advisory due to unsafe road conditions.

Deputies advise no unnecessary travel in Conewango, Leon, New Albion and Dayton. Heavy rain has flooded area roadways and downed tree limbs.

The sheriff’s office says if you must travel use extreme caution. Do not drive through flooded roadways and be on the lookout for debris.
