Man accused of illegally transporting cigarettes

NORTH HARMONY, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man is accused of transporting cigarettes with no New York state tax stamps or any paperwork.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office stopped 23-year-old Michael Miller for speeding on I-86 in North Harmony, Tuesday morning. During the stop, the deputy observed a full case of Seneca brand cigarettes on the passenger’s side seat.

At the recommendation of the ATF, Miller was arrested. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear in court later this month. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
