PS 60 transforms into 68 housing units

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – After being vacant for 10 years, an historic building in Riverside has been transformed.

Public School 60 has been turned into more than 60 workforce housing units. The fixture in the Riverside community held an open house on Thursday. All 68 units in the affordable housing community have already been filled.

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown says all city residents deserve safe and affordable housing and this newly completed project shows the city’s continued support for that vision. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
