Southern tier man accused of growing pot in barn

RIPLEY, N.Y. (WIVB) – A search warrant at a barn in Chautauqua County uncovered a marijuana grow operation, according to State Police.

Troopers accompanied by other law enforcement agencies raided the barn on Sinden Road in the Town of Ripley on Thursday. The property owner, 44-year-old James Chambers III, who lives in the adjacent home, was arrested on charges of fourth degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing marijuana.
