BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Workers across New York State are banding together to call on lawmakers to raise the minimum wage.

Locally, there will be a rally outside the McDonald’s on Niagara Street at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

This isn’t the first time local workers have joined the fight. There was a similar demonstration in December.

Activists also want the governor to pass local wage authority, which would give individual localities the ability to set their own minimum wage.
