Firefighters face difficulty fighting Buffalo house fire

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A house fire on Lafayette Avenue in Buffalo was made more difficult for firefighters to extinguish due to the large amount of items inside the home.

Firefighters called the home a “hoarding situation”.  The additional combustible material inside the home made fighting the fire more difficult.

The people who live in the home were not there when the first started but their dog died in the fire.

Investigators have not yet determined what caused the fire.
