Massive overnight blaze spreads to commercial building

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – One building was destroyed and another is damaged after an overnight blaze on Northland Avenue.

Buffalo Firefighters were called to the suspicious two-alarm fire at 597 Northland Avenue at 1:20 a.m. Monday. Flames destroyed the unoccupied, partially-collapsed building. It spread to an occupied commercial building, located at 577 Northland Avenue, causing $125,000 in damages at that address.

There were no injuries to firefighters battling the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
