Grads will earn Homeland Security training degrees

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Some first-of-a-kind graduates will earn their degrees at Erie Community College, Tuesday.

The school’s first-ever class for their Homeland Security training partnership will get their diplomas on Tuesday. The partnership is a joint venture between community colleges and the Transportation Safety Administration to try to bolster its workforce across the country.

ECC and the Buffalo Airport joined the program last year. There are currently over 4,700 students enrolled in programs like this throughout the nation.
