Lake Shore Health Center to operate independently

IRVING, N.Y. (WIVB) – A local hospital is splitting away from their medical partnership to operate independently.

The board of directors that governs both Brooks Memorial in Dunkirk, and Lake Shore Health Center in Irving, announced plans to split Lake Shore Health Center away from the TLC Health Network.

The board made the announcement Tuesday. Officials say this gives some flexibility to Lake Shore to operate through their own hospital board.

Leaders say they will consult with employees at Brooks. Chautauqua County Executive Vincent Horrigan was at the announcement Tuesday night and said they have people working on the sale of Lake Shore Hospital.
