Principal retires after 44-year career in education

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A school principal in Ken-Ton is enjoying her last day on the job thanks to her students and teachers.

The people of Hoover Elementary School pulled off a surprise assembly for Fran Paskowitz, who’s been there for 21-years. Students even performed a special skit called “The Princess-ipal and the Pea,” which made Paskowitz cry.

She said, “What a shock. I am totally, completely surprised, and I thought I knew everything happening every day, so maybe it’s time to retire! They pulled a good one over on me.”

Wednesday Fran Paskowitz wraps up a 44-year career in education. Congratulations! provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
