Lawmakers pass bill to teach students CPR

ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) – State lawmakers are trying to make sure your kids know what to do in a possible life or death situation.

They passed a bill requiring schools to teach CPR on Thursday. The measure still needs the governor’s approval.

After the bill is signed into the law, the commissioner of state education will create a plan to add CPR into the lesson plan.
