Name of man killed in Alden crash released

ALDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) – One person was killed Thursday morning in a crash in Alden.

Two cars collided near the intersection of North and County Line Roads shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies say after stopping at the stop sign on North Road, 80-year-old Thomas Luche of Florida proceeded southbound into the intersection, failing to yield the right of way to 43-year-old Cindy Miller of Attica.

Luche had to be extricated from his vehicle and was transported to Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight. He was pronounced dead before arriving at ECMC.

His passenger, 70-year-old Griffith Warrick of Florida, was taken to ECMC where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
