WILSON, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Village of Wilson Board will discuss dissolution at their meeting Thursday night.
A 39-cent tax hike is at the root of this debate. Almost 200 residents, angry with the increase, signed a petition calling for the village to dissolve.
Wilson residents are upset about the 2014-15 budget, which takes property taxes from $7.72 per $1,000 assessed value to $8.11.
The board’s meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at the village hall on Lake Street.
