Shots fired in parking lot of Clarence bar


CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help, finding whomever fired several shots in the parking lot of a bar in Clarence early Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to a call of “shots fired” in the parking lot of Howdy’s Nightclub on Main Street shortly before 4:00 a.m. They say they quickly got a description of the alleged shooters’ vehicle from witnesses, which they put out to all of the police departments in the county.

Howdys 2According to the Sheriff’s Office, Amherst, Cheektowaga and Lancaster Police all made contact with witnesses who said they left Howdy’s after the shots were fired.

The shooting remains under investigation.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office and Greater Buffalo Crime Stoppers are asking anyone with information to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 867-6161 or visit the Erie County Sheriff’s office website and submit a confidential email or crime tip.
