Man faces numerous charges following pursuit in two counties

ARCADE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Cheektowaga man faces a number of charges after authorities say he led law enforcement on a chase through Erie and Wyoming counties.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a call about domestic violence and property damage Sunday at the Mountain Meadows Camp Ground in Holland. When deputies arrived, they say Robert M. Feirabend, 49, left in his pickup truck. Deputies pursued Feirabend and tried to pull over, but he reached speeds of 80 miles per hour and refused to stop.

He headed east on Route 39 and once Feirabend reached the Wyoming County line, he was pursued by Village of Arcade police and the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office. They used spike strips and Feirabend came to a stop a short distance later.

Feirabend was arrested on domestic violence charges and also faces numerous vehicle and traffic charges. Additional charges may also be filed.

He’s being held without bail at the Erie County Holding Center pending an arraignment in Holland Town Court. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
