Two accused of selling marijuana in Orleans County

MEDINA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two people were arrested in Orleans County last Friday following an investigation into the sale of marijuana in the Village of Medina.

SWAT teams executed search warrant at two apartments on West Avenue and a third on Eagle Street. Authorities seized over a pound of marijuana, a stolen loaded .22 handgun, a .22 rifle, over $2,500 in cash, scales, packing materials and drug paraphernalia.

Rodrick Griffin, 31, was arrested on Eagle Street on charges of second degree criminal possession of marijuana, third degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property, four counts of third degree criminal sale of marijuana, four counts of fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana, five counts of fourth degree criminal sale of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Kelly Moriarty, 34, also of Eagle Street, was arrested on charges of second degree criminal possession of marijuana and fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Both Griffin and Moriarty were taken to the Orleans County Jail in lieu of bail.
