MEDINA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A vote to dissolve the village government in Medina has been tabled for now.
The Village Board met Monday night at Shelby Town Hall and had planned to vote on the dissolution. But talk turned into a heated debate, and board members decided to hold off on a vote.
Both sides of the debate want to set up meetings in the next three weeks to hammer out the differences and problems with the plan. Councilman Mark Kruzynski wants to have a public referendum on the issue.
The debate led to a long meeting Monday night, and ultimately board members tabled the vote for the time being.
