Lockport residents can talk about safety issues

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) – Police want Lockport residents to weigh in on a discussion about safety Tuesday night.

Officials are holding an open community meeting in response to a recent spike in shootings.

A 44-year-old man was shot on Spalding Street earlier this month. He was treated and released from Erie County Medical Center.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at Lockport City Hall. Everyone’s invited to attend.

Officers will be there to answer any questions or concerns residents have.
