School may decide on controversial parking lot

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Frontier School District elementary school in Hamburg could decide Tuesday night on a controversial parking lot expansion.

A special meeting will take place at Cloverbank Elementary, where officials want to pave over a grassy area in front of the school. A lot of parents think the $60,000 project will be an eyesore.

Earlier this month, parents presented a petition against the project.

Jeremy Rosen said, “There has never been a safety issue, never been a problem. You’re going to take one of the things that everyone loves about Cloverbank away, the green space.”

Anyone’s welcome to attend Tuesday night’s meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
